Dixie Cup 2017

Dixie Cup 2017

August 11-13, 2017, The Sevierville Golf Club

Dixie Cup 2017 was a huge success! We had 54 competitors who participated in a two day match play event at the Sevierville Golf Club. We kicked off the weekend with a meet and great at The Sevierville club house on Friday evening. Saturday morning, after an brief rain delay, we completed the first day of matches resulting in the HOTS leading 8 to 6. Saturday evening wrapped up with an excellent meal provided by the golf course F&B staff and more time to mingle with friends old and new. Sunday morning kicked off day 2 matches which started out with a come back move by the Carolinas teams and after the first wave of matches were completed it was tied HOTS 11 vs Carolinas 11.

While the ladies enjoyed a nice Sunday BBQ lunch buffet, we anxiously awaited the final 4 matches to finish. One by one they came in AS down the line and the Dixie Cup 2017 winners were the HOTS 12 to Carolinas 11. Congratulations HOTS!!!!

Many thanks to all the Volunteers, course staff that made the weekend a success!

A very special thank you to Brigina Wilkerson for organizing the event with help from the EWGA Board.
