MATCH PLAY EVENT

CLINIC AND MATCH PLAY EVENT

When: Saturday, June 10; from 8:15 to 1:00 PM

Fees: Free Clinic with Louise Ball; $15 Wee Course Greens Fee (includes cart)

Match Play Clinic, Saturday June 10, The Wee Course at Williams Creek (2351 Dandridge Ave, Knoxville, TN 37915). 8:15 AM Match Play Clinic (Indoors) / 9 AM Shotgun On-Course Match Play. Learn or refresh your knowledge of Match Play rules in a brief Clinic with Louise Ball and then head out for nine holes of Match Play!  The Clinic is free, $15 Wee Course Greens Fee (includes cart).

The match play clinic will help anyone who plans to play in the Dixie Cup Event later this year, but it will also be fun to play just for the experience.

It was a great day at Egwani Farms golf course on June 3rd.  Our chapter had 17 stroke players, competing in all 5 flights and 2 scramble teams .

The following qualified to advance to the regional district competition which will be held at the Hot Springs Village Ponce Course in Hot Springs, Arkansas on July 22, 2017.

There are many local golf tournaments and golf related events that might be of interest to our members. Those that are brought to our attention are posted with either an e-mail or a link where you can find more information.

01.01.2017 - Until Further Notice .... Egwani golf course has Meal Madness Mondays from now until further notice. Only $25. This includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, lunch. WOW! This is a great deal to keep your game going for the winter season.

  • Friday, May 12 from 10 am to 2 pm: Golf Equipment Demo Days by Edwin Watts at the Dead Horse Lake GC

06.05.2017 - EWI (Executive Women's International) Golf Classic - Egwani Farms.

A number of local companies participate in our tournament from Pilot, Phillips & Jordan, Bertelkamp Automation, etc. They have media sponsors such as Knox News Sentinel, WBIR, PBS and B97.5. Proceeds from the tournament go to the Knox Youth Sports Challenger League, which provides organized athletic programs for special needs children who might not otherwise have an opportunity to play sports, and the EWI Scholarship program which help three outstanding local adult students in scholastic transition who are attending Pellissippi State Community College. As an FYI, last year they were able to donate $10,000 to the Challenger League and $9,000 to our Scholarship Program.  To sign up: jan.goedeke@uscellular.com or call her 865-777-7861.

DIXIE CUP REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!!!

Welcome to the 2017 EWGA Dixie Cup Challenge!

August 12-13, 2017 We are very excited to welcome you back to The Sevierville Golf Club and the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee for the annual Dixie Cup Challenge. The Greater Knoxville Chapter and H.O.T.S members are proud to host this year's competition at the beautiful Sevierville Golf Club, Sevierville TN. Accommodations are available at a variety of locations and can be independently booked. A few locations have been blocked until July 10, 2017 with overnight accommodations just minutes away at The Sevierville Golf Club. We are excited about the schedule of events and most importantly, we are excited to have our EWGA sisters join us for a weekend of golf, networking, and FUN! This year Dixie Cup will consist of two days of Match Play.
